This year's annual Hansel Ball was another spectacular success!

Members of Ayr Amateur Opera Company dazzled the audience with a selection of show-stopping tunes at this year’s Hansel Ball.

They were part an impressive line-up of performers who entertained guests at Brig O’Doon House Hotel on the 3rd of November.

The singers were joined by popular show band The Brightside, Callum the Piper and Charity Auctioneer, Willie Paterson who hosted the event.

The Ball was a glamorous affair with a four course banquet and a Holiday Prize Draw for a selection of top prizes including a weekend break to Frankfurt, A Fourball over The King Robert The Bruce Course with overnight Bed and Breakfast for two couples at Trump Turnberry donated by a friend of Hansel and Dinner, Bed and Breakfast at Brig O'Doon House Hotel kindly donated by Costley & Costley.

Other highlights of the evening was the charity auction, with items up for grabs such as A New Look For Every Season donated by The Rainbow Room in Ayr, Full March Hospitality For Two at Rangers Football Club donated by Clearwater, A Fourball Over Gleneagles Golf Course donated by a friend of Hansel and a beautiful oil painting "Golden Sunset" by local artist Frank Colclough.

Sponsors of the event included Wades Print, Lairds of Troon, Scentsations of Troon and William Grant & Sons.

Hansel could not run this kind of event without the generosity of it's guests, sponsors and those who donated the raffle and auction prizes. A special thank you has to go to Santander for their very generous support too on the night.

It was just the most incredible evening and the entertainers were absolutely amazing and everyone had a fantastic time. Even Hector the Hansel bear looked out his tux and enjoyed the banter from the top table.

The money raised will make a huge difference to the lives of the people Hansel support.
