Lindy's tearoom reopens at Hansel

25 October, 2022

We are delighted to announce that Lindy’s tearoom has reopened to the public. Lindy's, which was named after Lindy Murdoch, the daughter of Hansel's founders, is located within the Hansel Broadmeadows estate just off the southbound A77 at Symington.

Lindy’s tearoom supervisor, Linda Armstrong said that “the Lindy’s team are delighted to be able to welcome visitors back to the tea room.  Now that Covid restrictions have eased, we are able to open back up to the general public whom we have missed during the pandemic.”

“We are also looking forward to hosting our first public event since reopening which will be a Christmas Concert where Kilmarnock Concert Brass Band will be performing on Friday 16th December at 7pm. Tickets are available from Lindy’s at only £6 each. This was a favourite event for people prior to Covid and we’re sure it will be popular once again”

Lindy's provides a range of light refreshments freshly made to order, or to take away, including teas/coffees, filled rolls, soup and a hot daily lunchtime special served from 12noon.

Open Monday to Friday from 8.30am till 1.30pm (last orders 1pm), Lindy's can also accommodate large groups by prior appointment. Parking is available on site along with electric car charging points.

Lindy’s is part of Hansel 3e (employment, education and enterprise) which provides a range of opportunities for people with additional support needs to prepare for and be supported in employment. Hansel 3e supports several people through their supported businesses at Hansel, including Lindy’s.

To contact the Lindy’s team please call 01563 831437, email linda.armstrong@hansel.org.uk or pop in during their opening times. We hope you can visit soon!
