What we offer
Since our origins in 1963 Hansel has been focused on breaking down barriers faced by people with additional support needs, creating inclusive environments, opportunities, and choices to enable people living in Ayrshire to live independent and fulfilling lives.
We are a leading social care charity however, through our unique organisational structure, we are so much more than that, placing innovation and passion at the forefront of delivering real change through a range of services and opportunities for the people we work for.
We do this through our fantastic group of more than 400 team members, whose dedicated approach to care and support creates a safe and positive environment for people to thrive, alongside our partnerships with healthcare agencies, organisations and businesses.
Residential Accommodation and Home Support
We have a range of housing support options including single and shared tenancies located in towns and villages across North, South and East Ayrshire.
We also offer small group living registered adult residential care home support as a choice for individuals who may have particular needs or preferences and who wish to live in South Ayrshire.
Both approaches give people the freedom to live in a home of their own, or to share living accommodation with others.Find out more

Overview of Hansel 3e & Partnerships
For most of us work plays an important part in our lives so through our Hansel 3e operations (employment, education and enterprise) we provide a range of opportunities for people with additional support needs to prepare for and be supported in employment, and for anyone to contribute through meaningful and rewarding volunteer activities. Although our Hansel 3e social enterprise focus is on employability outcomes for individuals, support is also provided to Hansel’s wider care services team and customers.Find out more
