We listen to each individual to ensure their choices and preferences are clearly understood, to then create a flexible and person centred support experience. This may present an opportunity to share everyday life with others, and while ensuring all individual needs are met, offer a warm homely environment where friends are never far away.
Alternatively, working with each person, their family and social worker, we can help find the right type of accommodation to live more independently. This may be in a single or shared tenancy, where we will understand the support required to meet individual lifestyle choices and be a good tenant and neighbour.
Live Independently
We are fortunate to be able to offer onsite living accommodation within our Broadmeadows estate located near Symington. Funded by health and social care partnerships, our registered residential care services offer a range of extremely flexible small group living settings, for people living with a learning disability and/or autism, regardless of the level of care and support required. For some of our older residents we have rooms and spaces kitted out with the latest dementia friendly resources to assist with everyday living.
What is obvious in all our bright and cheerful properties is the welcoming and nurturing homely environment. Life-long friendships are created within our small group living accommodation and all our residents are supported to maintain their independence. Social activity plays a key part in daily health and wellbeing. Residents can access a fun programme of activities designed to cater for all interests and hobbies and our gardens are a key attraction amongst residents and visiting families.
We also support people to live independently within their own homes, whether living alone or in shared tenancies, where support can vary from a few hours each day to 24/7 support where required. Some limited tenanted properties are available within our Broadmeadows estate, however our supported living teams operate across the whole of Ayrshire, within and around all the main towns and communities.
