AYRSHIRE’S GOT TALENT
Some of Ayrshire’s rising stars gave performances to rival the best on The Voice and Let It Shine on Sunday 26th March at Live and Loud at Lindy’s.

Put together by local musician Scott Nicol, the afternoon musical showcase was a big success, and everyone was amazed by the talent on display.

It featured a line-up of promising young singers and musicians including Prestwick sisters Emily and Charlotte Rutter.

Also playing were two other sets of performing siblings – Elliot and Leo Stack from Culzean, and Rubicon a three piece band featuring Joe, Erin & Keira, triplets from Coylton.

They were joined by Saltcoats guitarist Michael Crawford who played original material sung by Spencer Shek, another talented singer/songwriter.

Also performing was Kilmarnock singer Emily Reid accompanied by guitarist Campbell Smith from Ayr, and Prestwick’s Lucas Neil (age 9) who played his first ever gig on electric guitar.

We were delighted when Scott suggested organising this event with some of the musicians he works with through his music tuition business Possibility Screams.

Scott was our community champion last year and it was lovely to catch up with him before he passes on the mantle to this year’s winner who will be announced in April.

Scott said he was so proud of all of the Possibility Screams artist, as it takes a lot of guts to get out there and perform for other people and they were all wonderful and if anyone would like to hear more they can download ‘First Light,’ the brand new album from Possibility Screams from i-tunes.”

We hope other people follow in Scott’s footsteps and host events at Lindy's as it is a great venue and we are keen for the tea room to be used more often as a community resource. We would urge anyone looking to host an event there to get in touch with the fundraising team on 01563 831428.
