We would like to wish Gemma Stevenson the very best of luck in West Sound's Cream of Ayrshire Awards. Gemma was nominated in the Unsung Hero category by her mum who is obviously proud of the way her daughter is overcoming the challenges of her disability and health issues.
Gemma hosts a radio show and is a talented singer - she sang at the Keys to Life launch at Murrayfield and at a recent Hansel 50th anniversary party. Gemma is not just an entertainer though. She also gets involved in many Hansel initiatives such as the Compass Network and Quality Checkers. You can read about some of this work here: http://www.hansel.org.uk/articles/article.php?parentsectionID=2§ionID=10&articleID=49
Gemma also works with Circles Network raising awareness of the challenges young people with disabilities face and contributions they make to their communities and wider society.
We think Gemma deserves the Cream of Ayrshire Award for all her hard work on behalf of people with disabilities. If you thinks so too please vote for her at http://www.westsound.co.uk/pages/the-unsung-hero-vote/
- it only takes a minute and voting is open now until Sunday 22nd September.
