Fundraise

How you can fundraise for us

Collection cans and buckets

By adopting a Hansel collection can you can raise money to help us develop and deliver our services even if you don’t have much spare time. It’s an ideal way for workplaces, shops and hospitality venues to support us.

Adopting a can or bucket is easy – just give us a call on 01563 830340 to request one. We’d love to hear from you.

Organise your own fundraising event

From hosting an afternoon tea to the thrill of a zip line, we would love you to raise money for Hansel.

Popular fundraising ideas include bake sales, quizzes, bag packs, coffee mornings and dress down days. Many people like to take part in a sponsored event from walking or cycling to swimming or horse riding. You might have a fantastic fundraising idea of your own - the choice is yours but if you need our support just get in touch by calling 01563 830340.

Your safety and wellbeing is our main priority, so please check the current guidance from the Government and your local authorities regularly to ensure you are following the most up-to-date advice whilst fundraising for us.

Become our charity partner

By becoming a charity partner of Hansel, you’re not only helping to raise money for charity, you’re giving each individual we support the freedom to be heard, freedom of choice and the freedom to live the life they choose.

Each of our partnerships is unique and we work closely with our charity partners to develop ideas that make best use of their time, expertise, resources and donations.

Our charity partners help us in many ways from supporting our work through donations and gifts to engaging their employees to fundraise or volunteer for us or choosing Hansel as their charity of the year.

To find out how you can become our charity partner please call us on 01563 830340

Get your school or community group involved

There are many ways that your school or community group can support Hansel! From church groups to rotary clubs, youth groups to women’s institutes, schools to universities, there’s lots of ways that you can show your support for us.

You might organise a cake sale or carol singing, a dress down day or a disco, whatever it is we’d love to hear about your fundraising ideas!

The Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) is a powerful active citizenship programme, empowering young people to make a difference in their communities while developing a range of skills. Since it was introduced to Scotland in 2008 by The Wood Foundation, it has engaged more than 200,000 young people who have taken responsibility for £4.5m of charitable giving. We have been extremely lucky to work with several young people and teachers from local schools who have chosen to find out more about Hansel as part of their YPI project. Give us a call on 01563 830340 if you would like more information to help with your YPI project or presentation.

We also love to get the opportunity to tell our community all about Hansel and the work we do. If you would like to arrange a speaker talk or discuss a fundraising idea please give us a call on 01563 830340.
