Training Officer

Salary: £34,242 per annum (pro rata)
Hours: 21 hours per week (2 Years Fixed Term)
Location: Based at Hansel, Broadmeadows, Symington, Ayrshire, working within the communities in which the organisation is active/potentially active (mainly Ayrshire/West of Scotland)

Hansel is a leading social care provider working for people with learning disabilities and additional needs to be valued and active citizens in all communities across Ayrshire.  We have an exciting opportunity for a values driven Training Officer who is dedicated to making a difference to people's lives. 

You will be responsible for proactively implementing learning and development activities that create a workforce that is fit for purpose and contributes to the people centred cultural development and continuous improvement of Hansel.  This will include assisting in the delivery of a comprehensive L&D strategy and programme, including training needs analysis, design, delivery and evaluation, while working in partnership with our Learning and Development Lead Officer, managers, customers and external providers.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in delivering a wide range of learning and development activities, ideally within a Social Care setting, and possess a relevant social care qualification.  In addition applicants should also have the following attributes:

• Experience of training needs analysis and developing, delivering, coordinating and evaluating training courses;
• Knowledge and understanding of suitable learning and development interventions;
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills;
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities;
• Proficiency in the use of Word, Excel, databases and internet research.
• Ability to work inclusively, in partnership with our customers
• Ability to be creative and innovative in the design and delivery of training
