Salary: £31,635 - £33,502 per annum
Requirements: Driving License required
Hours: 39 hours per week
Location: Primarily within the North Ayrshire Supported Living Services Office in Red Rose House and throughout the Ayrshire area

We are now offering a fantastic development opportunity to become part of the North Ayrshire Supported Living management team as a Support Coordinator.

 

The role will involve assisting the Service Manager and management team to provide a wide ranging and responsive community-based service, aimed at meeting the needs of the service users.  The Support Co-ordinator will also provide effective line management support to the service’s staff team, participate in rota preparation and participate in the on-call rota.

 

The successful candidate will have a minimum two years experience of supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex health needs. An SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is also essential. 

In addition applicants should also have the following attributes and experience:

  • Experience of creating person centred care plans and risk assessments
  • Experience of providing direct support alongside people who have a learning difficulty, complex needs or with Autism Spectrum conditions
  • In-depth understanding of our values, current social care legislation and best practice
  • Proficiency and confidence in the use of IT systems including Word, Excel, Power point and databases
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and able to communicate effectively (listening, verbal and written) at all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively manage competing demands
  • Full UK driving licence and use of car for work purposes

Experience of providing supervisory support to a team is desirable but not essential.
