Hansel is a leading social care charity working for people with learning disabilities and additional needs to be active citizens and live independent lives in all communities across Ayrshire. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cook/Tearoom Assistant in Lindy’s Tearoom, which is set in the centre of the semi-rural environment of the Broadmeadows Estate in Symington.  It is the hub for our customers, their families and support workers.

This is a unique opportunity to join the professional and friendly staff team on a temporary basis. As Cook/Tearoom Assistant, your role would involve preparing, cooking and serving food for customers, team members and visitors, ensuring friendly customer service.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

• Proven experience as a Cook
• Food Hygiene Certificate
• Up to date knowledge of Food Standards
• Ability to work in part of a team and follow instruction
• Excellent communication skills
• Good time and task management skills
• Shared values with Hansel
