Hansel is a leading Social Care provider working for people with additional support needs across Ayrshire, offering a range of personalised support choices to over 600 people each year. We are now recruiting for a number of Support Worker posts in our Hansel Supported Living Service Team. This is a great opportunity for professional Support Workers with proven experience in social care that are looking to take on a new challenge.

Located within Hansel's site at Broadmeadows, Symington directly next to the south bound A77 with excellent transport links to Kilmarnock, Ayr and Glasgow, our Hansel Supported Living Team work in partnership with our customers, their families and external agencies, ensuring a safe, secure and nurtured environment which provides positive outcomes and opportunities for the future.

We are currently creating bespoke care which is designed to support our new customers to live within their own home on the Broadmeadows estate. Our customers have complex health and communication needs requiring support 24 hours per day, which will involve either sleepover or waking nights.

 We are very keen to hear from people who have solid experience within care and have worked supporting people with complex needs.

 Ideal candidates will be able to evidence: 

  • Experience of supporting people with additional support needs
  • Experience of supporting people with complex health, mobility and communication support needs
  • Experience of managing challenging behaviours
  • The ability to attain registration with regulatory bodies
  • A full UK Driving license
  • A fully flexible approach
  • Shared values with Hansel
  • An SVQ 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential
