The Hansel Connect service operates from The Baird Centre which was purpose-built to meet the differing needs of those we support and was named in honour of the Baird family whose very generous legacy gift made this amazing facility possible.
It is a contemporary building which includes arts and crafts and activity rooms, a multi-media room, dementia friendly spaces and meeting areas, as well as an impressive landscaped garden which is wheelchair accessible and includes all weather spaces and a sheltered seating area.
Within the Baird Centre you will find Our Space, a positive and inspiring community hub where people can meet, learn, participate, volunteer and enrich their lives in many ways.
Also onsite at our Broadmeadows estate is the Connect community hub which is a colourful space used as a base for people to explore ideas, plan support to engage in community activities and review how this all goes.
Both sites have a packed programme of stimulating activities designed to cater for everyone's interests including fitness classes; health and wellbeing; arts and crafts; gaming and technology; drama, singing, music and dance; and much, much more
Our Connect digital community is an accessible online support resource which is facilitated by our Connect service and offers a range of fun, learning, health or friendship events using a range of secure social media platforms.
