As part of our efforts to minimise the impact of the COVID-19 on the people we support Lindy’s is currently closed to the public.
For more information please see our News feed.

Lindy’s is located at the heart of our Broadmeadows site. Offering breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea or snacks and specialty coffee at any time of the day, Lindy’s is the perfect place for friends to meet. Please note, Lindy's is currently closed to the public to minimise the impact of COVID-19 on the people we support.

On a summer’s day take advantage of our picnic tables, go for a walk around the estate (about 30 minutes gentle stroll), or try your hand at our short putting green at Murray’s Garden. If the weather is less clement, stay inside and browse our exquisite selection of gifts – a must at Christmas time.

Lindy’s is also available for group bookings, even if just for tea/coffee and cake, and is popular with passing ramblers and cyclists looking for light refreshments. We can also cater for evening events, such as community group meetings. You will find our prices to be most reasonable. Lindy’s also provides supported employment opportunities for people with disabilities – doing good has never tasted better!

  • “I love Lindy's delightful friendly service”

Lindy’s is named after Lindy Murdoch, daughter of Hansel’s founding members. Lindy passed away in September 2011 after living a long and fulfilling life. Lindy, who was born with Down’s Syndrome, was a strong and confident lady who made many friends during her time at Hansel.

In the words of Blanche Nicolson (Lindy’s sister), “Lindy and Hansel teach us some profound truths... they show us that happiness and fulfilment are always rooted in the relationships we have with others, and are also rooted in helping and caring for others.”
