Enterprising Minds is one of two finalists in the Best Charity – Business Partnership category of the Association of Scottish Businesswomen Awards.
This innovative project, now in its second year, supports people living with learning disabilities or autism to be enterprising in developing meaningful activities for themselves – from starting a business to contributing to their community without aiming to generate income.
The project and the individual entrepreneurs have had great support from many local businesses and the nomination for this Award recognises this. You can meet some of the participants at http://www.hansel.org.uk/articles/article.php?sectionID=33&articleID=2010
We are up against stiff competition –Wai Beyond’s partnership with Ayrshire Sportsability is the other finalist. Waiyin Hatton, Founder and Director of Wai Beyond, knows Enterprising Minds well – she was the guest speaker at our celebration event to mark the 1st year of the project. With two such fantastic partnerships making the final it’s clear the real winners are the people of Ayrshire!
