The Baird Centre is open!

What a fantastic day we had today! The last Friday in April has been designated as Hansel Day and this year it was marked with the official opening of our Space at the Baird Centre. Michael Baird, whose family's generosity planted the seed which grew into this fantastic new community resource, joined our Practice Development Director, Blanche Nicolson, to cut the ribbon. Carers Legislation Consultation Events

As you may be aware, the Scottish Government is currently consulting on proposed new Carers Legislation which aims to ‘accelerate the pace of change’ so that more carers across Scotland receive the support they need to safely carry out their caring role, and to have a life outside of caring. Adam Ingram Visit

We were delighted to welcome local MSP, Adam Ingram, back to Hansel last month. He came to find out about our Employment Services activities and about our enterprising plans to sustain Ayrshire’s only recognised supported businesses through the anticipated withdrawal of DWP funding in October 2015.
