Driving Test Success
I began driving lessons back in June of 2016 as I really wanted to start learning to drive.
I would go out once a week and drive to various locations the instructor told me to. I was nervous as it was all new to me but quickly began to get the hang of it around early 2017.
I had to switch instructors as my old instructor was moving on to pastures new. The new instructor was just as good and continued to help me develop my driving skills.
In March I sat my theory test, which is arguably the hardest part. This was when I was tested on the rules of the road and the highway code. It took me four attempts and by July I had finally passed it with only 3 faults.
In August of 2017, I was ready for my driving test. I passed first time with flying colours with only four minor faults. The examiner was very impressed with my results as was my instructor. Not many people pass at first attempt, so I felt a great sense of achievement.
I was over the moon as was my family and friends and it felt so good to finally have passed.
I’m currently saving up to buy my own car and in the meantime borrowing my dad’s car to get back and forth to work when I get a chance to use it.
I enjoy driving and look forward to getting on the road with my own car soon, hopefully before the end of the year.
