Hansel's Fundraising team works with trusts and grant-making organisations, corporate sponsors, schools/small groups and individuals to raise funds for new projects and facilities. On behalf of those we work for - people with learning disabilities - we appreciate each and every support we benefit from, on its own merit - be it a small or large donation, participation in one of our fundraising events, the provision of advice or consultancy, or helping us on a voluntary basis.
Our Fundraising staff will be happy to tell you more about fundraising events taking place over the next few months. As well as our established annual events, for example the Race Day or Hansel Ball, there's some events for those who like a challenge - 5K and 10K fun runs and long-distance sponsored walks.

Justgiving makes fundraising easy and it’s very safe and
secure too !
You can use Justgiving to raise money for a sponsored event or to receive
donations instead of presents to mark a special occasion.
You can even create your own personalised fundraising page so that your
donors know that their generosity is coming to Hansel directly through
your efforts and your commitment to support our fundraising programme.
It’s a marvellous way of giving everybody the chance to feel really
involved in securing a fantastic outcome from one of our events.

Alistair Chisholm, Hansel's past Chairman, has written a book entitled "Who Cares Wins". It is an entertaining journey through the story of one man's life from 1939 - 2006 including his military career; experience in industry; fundraising successes for several major charities, including Hansel. An honest and engaging account set against significant times – military service in Berlin and Northern Ireland; strikes and the 3-day week and the changing climate of social care.
The title "Who Cares Wins" suggests it doesn’t matter what you do in life – unless you care you don’t really win!
It is a limited edition print of 1000 copies with all proceeds going directly to Hansel Foundation. Please contact Jennifer McGhee at Hansel Foundation (Tel : 01563 830340) should you wish to purchase a copy. Books cost £12.
